Postdoctoral fellow, funded by National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship, under the direction of William F. DeGrado
-
designed, synthesized and structurally characterized water-soluble beta-peptides as a test of protein design principles in the context of a unique structure.
-
synthesized membrane-soluble peptides to investigate assembled interfaces.
Dept. of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA 1998-2003
Graduate student, funded in part by the National Institutes of Health Chemical-Biology Interface Training Grant, under the direction of Vincent M. Rotello and Lila M. Gierasch
-
synthesized and characterized organic scaffolds to explore the redox potential modulation of the flavin cofactor
-
repared and characterized thiol-protected cationic gold nanoparticles as DNA-binding elements.
-
performed structural analysis of two bioactive peptides using several biophysical techniques.
